The snake was made in the memory of a teacher from Parkside School who
would bring her snakes in to school to use as teaching aids whenever an opportunity
would arise. All of the students at the school helped to paint the ceramic snake which is located in a busy corridor, low down the wall to allow maximum tactile contact for all the pupils. The snake was made during the Chinese year of the snake 2001.
