It represents images of events and 
technological developments
 that has taken place over the last fifty
 years as perceived by local people.

Artist Charles S Allen,
 members from the  Women's Group,
 Junior Youth Club, Girl's Group
and Community Links Project 
were all involved in the design and composition.
The panel was unveiled by the Mayor of Gateshead John Hamilton
